A Passion For Pet Care
Sherrie and Deanna are passionate animal enthusiasts with a combined experience of 35 years as Registered Veterinary Technicians. They formed the locally owned and operated business ‘Pet Tech Nanny’ to extend their compassion and love for animals. Both of them have experience working with all kinds of animals.
Deanna spent more of her childhood outdoors with her horses, dogs, and cats, than she spent indoors. She enjoyed riding and showing horses from a very young age. After graduating from high school she moved to Colorado and continued her involvement with horses on the collegiate level becoming an active member of the University of Denver Equestrian Team. In 2003 she graduated from the University of Denver with a degree in Psychology. In 2005 she received her Associates in Veterinary Technology and passed the national boards to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Deanna has been working in animal clinics since 2005. She has worked with all types of animals - dogs, cats, horses, birds, reptiles, amphibians, etc. She spent 3 years in North Wales managing a sheep and horse farm. Returning to Ohio in 2014 she has worked at various veterinary clinics in the Miami Valley Area.
Deanna worked with local rescue teams namely - Scotland Dalmatian, Colorado Dalmatian, Ohio English Setter Rescue. She even volunteered for hippo therapy. While working with OESR, she has dealt with animals of all breeds, species, sizes and types. Currently, she owns a horse Alando, and lives with three dogs - Joey, Charlie (Poodles) and her long-term rescue dog, Winne (German shorthaired pointer).
Sherrie has been married to Chris for 23 years, residing in Springboro, and has one daughter. Her furry family 2 horses, 2 dogs and 2 cats. Sherrie has been caring, training and showing horses since she was 13 years old, where she has accumulated a multitude of achievements, including National Titles and World Championships. Chris has been a Farrier for over 25 years, and has been recommended by many veterinarians for his dedication to this profession and corrective shoeing skills.
Sherrie’s love for dogs and horses led her to care passionately for their well-being through training and interaction. She applies positive training techniques and motivates with dramatic enthusiasm-dogs and horses are most responsive and gain rewarding confidence to such methods.
Sherrie has been a Registered and Licensed Veterinary Technician for 23 years. She has worked in emergency, specialized medicine and currently a day practice facility. She enjoys educating clients, proactive pet care and enhancing the human-animal bond. Her plans are to offer individual and group training/behavior classes available in the Spring. In addition to her devotion to pet well-being, her other interests include training/showing her horse, long walks, hiking, being involved in her daughter’s sports and spending time with friends.
